The exterior of the 2024 3500HD is updated, with a more aggressive front grille and highlights, as seems to be the trend for truck facelifts these days. The Midnight Edition blackout exterior kit is now available on the High Country trim level as well. Chevy is also outfitting the High Country with cool projector headlights for 2024.

Much like Ford’s new Super Duty interiors were inspired by the current F-150, the revised Silverado 3500HD is inspired by the Silverado 1500. The new dashboard features a customisable 12.3″ gauge cluster and a 13.4″ touchscreen that is standard on LT and above models. Interior materials range from functional in the Work Truck to luxurious in the High Country.

The 2024 3500HD also receives some important improvements. Gasoline-powered versions will now come standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission, which improves efficiency over the previous six-speed. The gas power numbers stay identical, while the Duramax diesel powertrain gains in both power and torque, with ratings of 470 and 975, respectively. Despite a 65lb-ft boost in torque, the tow rating of the 2024 3500HD remains the same as the 2023 model at 36,000 lbs.
