2022 Toyota GR86 will be powered by a turbo engine, the company (Toyota and Subaru) has confirmed that the 2022 GR86 will have a turbocharger. Subaru’s 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer four-cylinder is the obvious candidate, retuned from SUV duty where it makes 260 hp and 277 lb-ft in the Subaru Ascent.

GR stands for Gazoo Racing, Toyota’s in-house racing, and performance department. The Subaru BRZ is expected to retain its name. As I mentioned earlier, Subaru’s 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer four-cylinder will be GR86 new engine. This engine should have 217 horsepower (220 PS) out of the box, so 12 hp more than the current model. Even if the power figures don’t change with the tune, it would still make 55 hp and 122 lb-ft more than the current GT86 and BRZ. Although it hasn’t been confirmed yet, Many expect both to offer a manual gearbox as well as an automatic.

Honestly, Both Subaru and Toyota still silent when it comes to the 2022 GR86 Price, but according to Motortrend, the starting price for the 2022 Toyota GR86 is around $30,000. This GR86 2022 Version was expected to premiere in the summer of 2021. When it finally does.
