2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV–The Blazer EV will be an all-new model within the Blazer family, with its own separate body and interior—not it’s a gas Blazer fitted with an EV propulsion system. It will be offered in four trims, with the mid-range 2LT and RS variants entering the market first in summer, 2023. Following that, the top-spec SS trim will go on sale before the end of 2023.
The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV, which will go on sale in the United States a year from now, will be GM’s first mainstream model to feature its next-generation Ultium batteries and chassis, as well as the Ultifi electrical system. The term “electronic commerce” refers to the sale of electronic goods. According to the company, the payback will be greater range, faster charging times, improved handling, and a slew of new technologies, including the hands-free Super Cruise driving system.

2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV Exterior
At first appearance, the new battery vehicle may appear to be the same as the traditional gas-powered Blazer. However, they are fundamentally different: the original Blazer is built on GM’s C1XX vehicle architecture, which is shared with the Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia, and Cadillac XT6, whilst the EV is based on the automaker’s new Ultium battery platform. A number of obvious indications, beginning with the lightbar spanning the EV’s face, show that this is now an electrified vehicle. It puts on a light display when you approach the Blazer—or walk away at the end of a drive—with its backlit replica of the brand’s bowtie logo. It also serves a more practical use, indicating the state of charge of the SUV when plugged into a charger. Because there is no engine to cool under the hood, the electric Blazer, like most new EVs, foregoes the traditional grille in favor of a cosmetic panel.
2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV Interior
The Blazer EV is a two-row vehicle, and photographs show a sporty interior design theme that complements the SUV’s aggressive external style. Round air vents flank the dashboard, and Chevrolet has gone with a two-tone black-and-red color scheme in RS and SS trims—but we expect a more monotone design to be available as well for people who don’t like the flash. While there is plenty of legroom in both rows, we found the headroom to be inadequate when we sat inside a pre-production SS model. When we have a chance, we’ll test the cargo capacity of the Blazer EV with our carry-on suitcase test and update this story with the results.
All models include a big 17.7-inch infotainment display that is canted slightly toward the driver and framed on the left and bottom by physical temperature control system and volume knob controls. A secondary 11.0-inch display shows the driver gauges and other driving information. Chevrolet hasn’t revealed anything about the infotainment system in the Blazer EV, but we’re betting it’s GM’s newest, which is Android Auto-based. Standard communication capabilities such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an on-board Wi-Fi hotspot are expected.
2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV Engine
Chevrolet hasn’t published horsepower statistics for the 1LT, 2LT, or RS models yet, but the range-topping SS model will come solely with a 557-hp electric motor with standard all-wheel drive. According to Chevy, the vehicle will reach 60 mph in less than 4.0 seconds. The 1LT is exclusively available with front-wheel drive, but the 2LT can be ordered with either front- or all-wheel drive. Curiously, the RS model comes equipped with either front- or rear-wheel drive—your choice—with all-wheel drive available. When additional information is revealed about the Blazer EV’s available powertrains, we’ll update this story with details.
2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV Price & release date
The 2024 Blazer EV will be released in stages, beginning with the 2LT and RSS variants next summer. According to Chevy’s Majoros, the high-performance SS will arrive two months later, and the standard 1LT will debut in U.S. dealerships no later than the first quarter of 2024. The traditional gas-powered Blazer will most likely continue alongside, and this would not be the first time Chevrolet marketed two generations of a single model concurrently. Pricing will start at $44,995 for the 1LT (247-mile range) and $47,595 for the 2LT (293 miles). The long-range RS will come in at $51,995 for 320 miles, with the 290-mile range SS starting at $65,995—all prices factoring in delivery fees. Prices may vary greatly based on the battery and powertrain options selected, as well as features such as Super Cruise, enhanced auto-parking, and a head-up display system. The dash is dominated by a 17.7-inch center touchscreen.
